Welcome to the Pier to Pine Open Ocean Swim, now in its second edition, set in the stunning UNESCO World Heritage-listed Kingston area on Norfolk Island.

 

Held in the crystal-clear waters of Emily and Slaughter Bay, swimmers glide safely inside the reef, passing through the iconic ‘channel’ in one of the most scenic and historic locations on earth. This is your chance to experience our island home in a whole new way.

With swims for every level – from kids and first-timers to seasoned ocean swimmers – Pier to Pine is all about community, connection, and a shared love of the water.

Returning in January 2027, all your favourite swims are back, plus exciting new additions. Take on the brand-new Swim & Run, or team up for the dynamic Relay, a fast-paced race designed for teams of four.

To cater for everyone, you can choose between the competitive or social categories and enjoy the event your way.
